MPMA in Partnership with ShopFloor Coffee Presents:

Opening Doors - Creating Pathways for the Underrepresented in Manufacturing with Guest Speakers South Central College (Uniquely Abled Academy) and The Redemption Project.

This FREE event will explore how employers can tap into untapped talent
and create supportive environments for underrepresented groups, such as
individuals with disabilities, justice impacted individuals, or those with nontraditional backgrounds. Attendees will have the chance to ask tough questions and engage in meaningful conversations about how to actively support and champion these efforts, broadening the scope of opportunity for both employers and employees alike.

About our Guest Speakers:

The Uniquely Abled Academy (located at South Central College) is an innovative educational program designed to provide specialized training and career pathways for individuals with autism and other developmental differences. Focused on developing skills in high-demand fields like manufacturing, the academy helps students gain practical experience and find meaningful employment, fostering independence and success in the workforce.

The Redemption Project is an initiative dedicated to supporting individuals who have been impacted by the criminal justice system, offering resources for personal growth, rehabilitation, and reintegration into society. Through mentorship, education, and skill-building programs, the project aims to empower participants to transform their lives, build healthier futures, and contribute positively to their communities.

We are excited to share pathways for manufacturers to start careers for individuals that may not come to us via a traditional job search.
